Brisbane City Council has approved a new estate in the city’s north, allowing civil works on the site to commence.
Highfields at Bridgeman Downs, 13km north of the CBD, comprises of 134 lots at 1980 Roghan Road.
Thirty-nine level lots will range in size from 400 to 800 square metres and 1.5 hectares of parkland on the lot will be reserved for green space.
“This is one of the largest new estates in Bridgeman Downs which is a proven area that does not have a great deal of new housing coming onto the market,” Unison Projects’ developer Shannon Down said.
“Bridgeman Downs is a well-established and leafy suburb [that] is well-connected by transport infrastructure and serviced by a high standard of amenities and [is] close to major shopping centres such as Westfield Chermside,” Mr Down said.
Unison Projects purchased the site for $19 million in 2014 and is also currently working on projects in nearby Griffin and Albany Creek.
