Increasing corporate conferences and events hosted within the ocean-front Mon Komo Function and Events Centre at Redcliffe are contributing to the consistently high occupancy rates at the on-site Mon Komo four-and-a-half-star investment apartments.

According to the developer, Mon Komo hosted 253 conferences in the 2015-16 financial year, adding to the Mon Komo investment apartments’ high average occupancy rate of 86 per cent during this period.

The convenience of the on-site apartment accommodation reportedly has major national and global corporates choosing the ideally located Mon Komo Functions and Events Centre at Redcliffe for their conferences.

Leading industry organisations such as Volkswagen, Bayer, Nestlé, CSIRO, Deloitte and Qantas, as well as government departments, have all hosted events and conferences at Mon Komo’s premier facilities.

Oaks Hotels and Resorts chief operating officer Mike Anderson said more organisations have been choosing to hold events at Mon Komo and make group accommodation bookings in the on-site investment apartments, adding to consistently strong returns for investors.

“Mon Komo is a truly unique investment property as it attracts both the business and leisure markets, generating a consistent 86 per cent occupancy and adding to the bottom line for owners,” he said.

“Mon Komo achieves consistently high occupancy rates throughout the year, with no real low season because of the diversity of markets it caters to, including holiday-makers, the wedding market, business travellers and, of course, conference participants.

“We are continuously receiving excellent testimonials from corporations and government departments who appreciate the quality accommodation, conference facilities, event management and above all the convenience offered at Mon Komo by having everything they need in one property. They all agree that Mon Komo is a great place for a conference [and] to get away from the stress of corporate life, as participants can enjoy the convenience and luxury of staying on-site in the ocean-front investment apartment tower.

According to Mr Anderson, the appeal of the Oaks Hotels and Resorts managed apartments is the variety of configurations available, from one bedroom to three, along with access to Mon Komo’s resort-style recreational facilities, including a swimming pool and gymnasium, plus dining, bars and entertainment at the on-site Mon Komo Hotel.

The $150 million multi-award-winning, mixed-use Mon Komo property, developed by Kyko Group, incorporates a residential apartment tower, an investment apartment tower, professional office suites and the Mon Komo Hotel, with its Functions and Events Centre.

Kyko Group director Bill Jenkings said the Mon Komo development was carefully designed to incorporate business events and lifestyle facilities, making it an ideal venue for organisations seeking a premium function location.

“Due diligence research conducted in the planning of Mon Komo showed there is a growing market for corporations wanting to take their entire team away to a lifestyle destination with excellent conference facilities and the convenience of on-site quality apartment accommodation,” he said.

“Our vision for the Mon Komo development is to offer the high-standard conference and accommodation facility that corporations are seeking in one convenient ocean-front location at Redcliffe, just 25 minutes from Brisbane airport and 35 minutes from the Brisbane CBD.”

According to Mr Jenkings, the state-of-the-art Functions and Events Centre can cater for the most discerning of needs and incorporates five multi-purpose boardrooms fitted out with the latest multimedia equipment, to ensure seamless connectivity during meetings and presentations.

“Redcliffe has really come into its own in recent years, transforming into a cosmopolitan seaside destination of choice, offering a refreshing break from the urban environment while having all the major amenities of a city suburb.

“Public transport is within close walking distance of the Mon Komo development and ample car parking is available on-site, providing easy access for conference guests and participants.

“We only have a few remaining Mon Komo investment apartments on the market, with prices starting at $295,000, and they are available to buy now for an immediate investment return starting at $345 per week.”

Mon Komo’s investment apartments are fully furnished and range from one-bedroom (58 square metres) to three-bedroom dual-key (170 square metres) configurations, featuring modern, coastal-inspired décor, fully equipped kitchens with stainless steel appliances, open-plan living areas, laundry facilities and large balconies offering stunning ocean views.
