Urban king inks lease on new Perth headquarters

Attractive tenant conditions continue to lure businesses into the Perth CBD, with urban design specialists Roberts Day inking a new lease on a heritage office space in the city centre.

The national planning and design firm has signed a six-year lease to accommodate its Perth operations in the 530sqm property, located on level one of 442 Murray Street.

Located in one of Murray Street’s most recognisable, restored heritage buildings, the full floor property features an external breakout balcony and funky wharehouse styling via exposed old timber beams, air-conditioning ducting and modern lighting.

CBRE’s Lachlan Lewis negotiated the deal, which reflected an annual rental of $450 per square metre, on behalf of a private lessor.

Mr Lewis said the deal was evidence of continued momentum in the Perth leasing sector.

“The current leasing environment in Perth tells a compelling story for tenants, with 2016 likely to see a flurry of businesses looking to take advantage of the current conditions by upgrading into new space across the city,” Mr Lewis said.
