One hell of a fixer-upper

This grungy Melbourne property has just hit the market for around $500,000. It’s in quite a state, but could a celebrity link be enough to get a buyer across the line?

A Brunswick cottage which featured in Beyonce’s No Angel video clip has been listed for sale, according to news.com.au.

The cottage was captured during Beyonce’s 2013 visit to Melbourne to perform at Rod Laver Arena, after she took to the back streets of Brunswick to gather footage.

At the time, owner Jeanette Meadows, then 80, wasn’t even sure who Beyonce Knowles was, according to the Herald Sun.

"When the man knocked on my door to ask if they could use my house to do the photos I thought he said they were with his fiancée, not Beyoncé," she told the Melbourne newspaper. "I didn't even know who she was."

The property’s brush with fame hasn’t been lost on listing agency Nelson Alexander, with agent Luke Sacco making sure to mention the incident in the sales copy.

“The iconic facade of this charming Edwardian weatherboard, most notably the scene of pop megastar Beyonce's 2013 No Angel video clip, introduces a two-bedroom home in desperate need of loving restoration to its former glory,” the listing reads.
