Duo

Latest mixed-use project designed by multi-award winning Foster + Partners, DUO set to attract strong interest from discerning buyers.

Joint venture partners, Frasers Property Australia and Sekisui House Australia, are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of DUO, the highly anticipated next stage at the $2 billion mixed-use urban village, Central Park. DUO will be available to the market from 28 November.

Designed by one of the world’s most awarded architecture practices, Foster + Partners, DUO will be located on the corner of Broadway and Abercrombie Streets, comprising two interconnected buildings each with their own lobby entrances.

As the final piece to complete Central Park’s already impressive Broadway frontage, DUO will offer a striking façade that will feature an entrance statement like no other at Central Park – a mirrored fin that will protrude from the entrance to the building.

DUO’s residential component will comprise a total of 313 high-quality apartments, including one-bedroom suites from $625,000, one bedroom apartments from $700,000 and two-bedroom apartments from $1,180,000, the majority of which will be located within the eastern tower of DUO.

Also, buyers will also have the first ever opportunity to secure a three-bedroom dual-key apartment in DUO – an apartment configuration that has never been offered at Central Park before. These will be priced from $1,930,000.

The western tower of DUO will include a 300-room hotel, ground floor retail, 5,500 square metres of commercial space, a large childcare centre to accommodate up to 90 children and the refurbished Australian Hotel.

It will also house DUO’s most premium residential offering, a collection of 48 residential apartments branded as ‘DUO Limited Edition’. These apartments will be located on levels 13-18, offering an elevated position with uninterrupted views to the Blue Mountains.

Frasers Property Australia Sales and Marketing Director, Paul Lowe said DUO will be the next significant stage at Central Park and signals a new opportunity for discerning buyers to become part of the award-winning Central Park community.

“DUO will undoubtedly set a new benchmark for residential living in the Sydney property market and is unique in that it’s one of only two residential buildings in Australia designed by world acclaimed Foster + Partners,” said Mr Lowe.

“Every apartment in DUO will offer a contemporary and yet refined interior design for residents with feature panelling, timber or tiled flooring, crisp bathroom detailing, high quality finishes and fixtures and contemporary colour palettes from which to choose a scheme that reflects your style.

“The perfect balance between living and lifestyle has also been carefully considered with residents offered access to resort style amenities aptly called “DUO Club”, an extension of the inner-city lifestyle on offer. This will include an expansive lobby with private lounge areas to meet and greet, multi-function recreation room, resort style indoor/outdoor swimming pool, cardio / fitness room and jacuzzi located on level 2, lounge/bar, dining room, library and a rooftop terrace complete with BBQ facilities, entertainment terraces, flexible seating and beautifully landscaped spaces located on level 16.”

Gerard Evenden, Executive Partner at Foster + Partners said the name DUO derives from the spirit of ‘duality’, whereby the two buildings on the northwest corner of Central Park complement their surroundings through a combination of new public spaces and a balance of residential and commercial property.

“The overall proportions of the buildings and its materials have been chosen in keeping with the surrounding structures to visually unify old and the new. Inspiration has been drawn from the 1920’s/1930’s art deco architectural features of The Australian Hotel located underneath Duo West, while the façade will include horizontal bands between each apartment to give the impression that the building is floating,” said Mr Evenden.

Mr Lowe added that DUO will become another landmark for Central Park, set to attract strong interest from local and international buyers across a wide range of demographics, lifestyles and cultures.

“There’s something on offer for everyone whether you’re a first home buyer looking for an entry level apartment, a discerning investor who desires a landmark apartment in their portfolio or a young professional who appreciates the prime proximity to the CBD or a family looking for a safe and friendly urban home and community with access to the many shopping conveniences, dining and entertainment options on offer,” said Mr Lowe.

“We’re committed to delivering projects of the highest calibre and pride ourselves on working with the best in the industry. Through the careful collaboration between Frasers Property, Sekisui House and Foster + Partners we’ve been able to bring to market a project that will not only be significant for Central Park but also for Sydney and the southern CBD precinct.

“We envisage that DUO will be well received by the market and are currently taking registrations of interest with a launch set for late November.”
