Millers Point properties sell for over $4 million

Millers Point

CEO of Government Property NSW, Brett Newman, today announced the sale of two government-owned properties at Millers Point for $4.15 million.

A five bedroom, three storey terrace at 90 Kent Street sold for $2.25 million. The neighbouring three bedroom, two storey terrace at 92 Kent Street, sold for $1.9 million.

Both sales were managed by Di Jones Real Estate on behalf of the NSW Government.

Proceeds from the Millers Point auctions will be reinvested into the supply of more than 1,500 new social housing dwellings across Sydney and regional NSW.

“Today’s sales bring the total number of Millers Point properties sold to 23, generating more than $50 million to fund social housing,” Mr Newman said.

The first batch of new housing is either completed or nearing completion in Condell Park, Padstow, Yagoona, Gymea, Lurnea, Chester Hill, Kingswood, Mount Warrigal,

Beverly Hills Warilla, Casula and Miranda.

“A Conservation Management Plan (CMP) is attached to each property to protect and guide purchasers’ plans for restoration, repairs and maintenance,” Mr Newman said.

“The historical integrity of the Millers Point precinct will continue to be carefully protected through these CMPs and the City Of Sydney’s local Environment Plan.”
