Leading rural real estate firm, Raine & Horne Rural Sydney, has been appointed to assist a number of local and overseas based investors secure $600 million worth of quality agricultural land in Australia.

“We’re working on behalf of a cooperative of cotton farmers, who are looking to extend their reach into New South Wales and between them they have about $100 million to invest,” said Andrew Tout, Co-Principal of Raine & Horne Rural Sydney.

“We’ve also been given a directive by a number of privately-owned overseas investment groups. They are seeking to secure a large portfolio of cropping interests, wheat farms and processing assets in Australia.

“With $600 million to spend on quality assets, this is arguably the single biggest concurrent directive ever given to an Australia rural property firm by domestic and overseas purchasers.”

The directive also follows hot on the heels of the recent announcement that one of China’s largest beef producers, Chongqing Hondo Agriculture Group, is looking to buy up to $100 million worth of cattle stations in Australia within the next year.

“The local and overseas investors have approached Raine & Horne Rural because of our extensive experience in the sector and the fact that our systems and processes for the buying and selling of rural land are able to protect their confidentiality,” said Mr Tout.

Raine & Horne Rural has developed a Data Room facility which provides buyers with a username and password access code that enables them to log into the system.

“Within the confines of Data Room there are confidentiality agreements and disclaimers, information memorandums, property valuations, letters of financial capability, professional reports on the property and other third party data.

“For many of our rural vendors and buyers, discretion is paramount when selling or buying high dollar value properties and using the latest technologies to match an asset with a buyer enable us to totally respect their wishes.

“If you want to buy or sell a high value rural property in Australia and don’t want the world to know it, our team at Raine & Horne Rural will be delighted to help you,” said Mr Tout.
