Six Millers Point properties head to auction

Six Millers Point properties head to auction

CEO of Government Property NSW, Brett Newman, today announced plans for the sale of a further six government-owned properties at Millers Point.

The properties, which are due for auction on Tuesday 25 August, are:

· 40 Kent Street
· 58 Kent Street
· 84 Kent Street
· 86 Kent Street
· 20 Trinity Avenue
· 22 Trinity Avenue

Mr Newman said it’s the first time six Millers Point properties have been listed and sold concurrently, reflecting the strong market confidence at Millers Point.

“Nestled along Sydney’s iconic harbour and situated on the doorstep of the CBD, the Millers Point precinct continues to attract robust market interest,” Mr Newman said.

Proceeds from the Millers Point auctions are being reinvested into the supply of more than 1,500 new social housing dwellings across Sydney and regional NSW.

“To date there have been 23 government-owned properties sold in the area, raising more than $50 million for social housing projects across the State,” Mr Newman said.

The six properties are being marketed for sale by Raine & Horne Double Bay.Each heritage listed property in Millers Point is sold with a Conservation

Management Plan endorsed by the Heritage Council, which guides purchasers’ plans for restoration, repairs and maintenance.
